Works As Described
We bought this awhile ago. Peeling vegetables is a quicker cleaner chore than before. You are no longer faced with a wet gloppy mess in your sink. This would be terrific for shaving other foods such as chocolate as one reviewer states or shaving the skins of lemons or limes for garnishes. It does take awhile to get used to because of its size, but it is easily mastered.

so pleased to find this tool.
Can't say what it is like for veggies.

A little awkard at first but works
Its a bit hard to get used to but it does work and the waste is conveniently trapped inside. One problem is that thin skins that are removed are stubborn and stick to the inside of the peeler so you will have to deal with a few skins in your sink when you wash it out.
